I don't care for the new ghost 9 and 10 I much prefer the dos version. Seems the program is wanting to write a file to a:\.. This has happened before, and a total re-install had to be finally performed. Did the ghost32 program load? I also attempted to go to Restore System,  went through the steps to load my back up file and came to the same message.

When Ghost 9 came out, you had to use a floppy to install XP onto a SATA drive anyway so most people who did would know about the floppy routine. But I still get the same error message. Dave Actually, I wouldn't even try to deal with loading drivers in WinPE 1.0 (XP based). What is your a: drive?

I assume Ghost is using the latest Live Updates? Also try using smartdrive with a 2mb cache it helps ghost quite a bit. Your right, it doesn't start automatically, thats pretty lame. Now if there was a cmd line code to disable error reports all together then the problem would be solved. Having only 9GB left I've deleted some junk and got my Free Space up to 23.5GB. I would have thought you could boot the recovery disk but you just wouldn't be able to access any of the drives.
